Two top-ranking officers of the Marine battalion that accidentally left one of its soldiers to die in the 120-degree heat of the Mojave Desert last August were reassigned Tuesday after a review of the investigation into the death.

Lt. Col. E.J. Robeson, commander of the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, and executive officer Maj. T.L. Holm will be relieved of their duties and reassigned to other jobs within the division, a Camp Lejeune spokesman said late Tuesday.
