The Salt Lake Golden Eagles will add goaltender Steve Guennette to their ranks on Wednesday when he meets them in Peoria at the start of their road trip. Guennette, who has a 3.92 goals-against average with the Muskegon Lumberjacks, was obtained in a trade Monday morning.
The Calgary Flames, the Eagles' parent team, swapped a sixth-round draft choice to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Muskegon's parent team, for him. With Muskegon, Guennette had a 6-4 record; he has played several games in Pittsburgh this season. He will become the Eagles' third goaltender as Doug Dadswell and Wayne Cowley remain with Salt Lake.
