Jazz forward Karl Malone could have qualified for the NBA Player of the Week award by averaging 31 points and 12 rebounds as the Jazz went 4-0. Actually, those were the Mailman's lowest numbers for the week.

Malone averaged 35.8 points and 16.3 rebounds while playing 45 or 46 minutes in all four games, earning his second weekly award of the season. He was also the NBA's Player of the Month for March.

"I'll tell you what, I'm glad this season's over," Malone said after Saturday's win over Houston. "It's been very draining." Malone and the Jazz will open the playoffs at Portland Thursday.
