Dale Zabriskie, president of a public relations firm, was quoted as saying, "Legislators need to not give taxpayers what the voters denied them at the polls." His actual comment, Zabriskie said, was that legislators need not give tax protesters what the voters denied them at the polls. Legislators should pay more attention to the majority that voted down tax initiatives than to the tax protesters who constituted the minority, he believes.
