Utah's blood supply has dropped dramatically during the holidays, and the anticipated blood need for January is higher than other months.

For this reason, Gov. Norm Bangerter has declared January "Volunteer Blood Donor Month" and is urging Utahns to donate blood.Donations are accepted at the following locations: American Fork Hospital; Dixie Medical Center, St. George; LDS Hospital, Salt Lake; Cottonwood Hospital Medical Center, Murray; Logan Regional Hospital; McKay Dee Hospital Center, Ogden; and Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Provo.
