Anyone interested in camping at a state park over the Easter weekend should make reservations now, according to the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation.

Campsite reservations can be made from three to 120 days in advance by calling a toll-free number, 1-800-284-2267, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. until noon on weekends.Reservations will be taken for Memorial Day weekend beginning Jan. 27, for the July Fourth holiday beginning March 3, for the July 24th weekend beginning March 24 and for Labor Day weekend beginning July 3.

Reservations are limited to two weeks within a 30-day period in all state parks, except Wasatch Mountain and Deer Creek. Those parks both have a 10-day limit.

Campsite fees vary, depending on the services available, from $5 to $10 per night for one vehicle with up to eight occupants. Additional vehicles cost an extra $5 per night.

The fees for group campsites vary from $1 to $2 per person, with the higher fee assessed for areas that provide flush toilets and/or pavilions. Group campsite reservations may be made one year in advance.

There is also an additional charge of $5.25 for each site to cover the cost of using the reservation service. Groups will be charged a reservation fee of $9.50.

One person can reserve up to three individual campsites, except at Bear Lake State Park Rendezvous Beach, where one person can reserve up to 25 individual campsites.
