A Phoenix man was sentenced to two years in prison Wednesday on federal drug charges.

U.S. District Judge David Winder sentenced John Steven Penn on his guilty pleas to two felony counts - distribution of a half-pound of cocaine and use of the telephone to arrange a drug transaction.Penn was arrested last August following a drug transaction at the Salt Lake Airport Hilton, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Stewart Walz. In addition to the two years in prison, Winder ordered Penn to serve three years of supervised release and three years of probation.
