Eddie Heywood Jr., a jazz pianist who composed "Canadian Sunset," died Monday in Maimi Beach. He was 73. Heywood's version of Cole Porter's "Begin the Beguine" was popular in the 1940s, and after being sidelined by problems with his hands, Heywood returned with his composition of "Canadian Sunset" and other songs in the mid-1950s.

Art Rush, a talent agent who represented such performers as Vladimir Horowitz, Orson Welles, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, died Sunday in Los Angeles. He was 81. Rush was the executive producer of many network radio shows, and helped manage the careers of Jackie Gleason, Mary Martin and Eugene Ormandy during the 1930s.
