Defense Consultants International, a Sandy-based defense, government contracts and high-tech consulting firm, has reached an agreement with a major defense contractor in producing a ground-to-ground mobile missile system adopted by the United States and North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

DCI will provide consulting services for missiles division of LTV in a $1 billion sale and co-production of the Multiple Launch Rocket System in Turkey.Under the agreement with Turkey, LTV will create a joint venture co-production facility in that country employing Turkish and Americans to manufacture the rocket system. The program will take 10 years, said K. Barry Marvel, DCI president.

DCI will provide consulting services during the implementation period of the co-production operation, including contractual, administrative and negotiation assistance; assistance in the structuring of industrial benefit and offset programs; assistance in dealing with the Turkish government; and preparation of LTV's employees and administrative systems for operations in Turkey.
