A memorial service for Glenn Walker Wallace, founder of the Utah Symphony and co-founder of Ballet West, will be held at noon Jan. 6 in the Capitol Theatre, 50 W. Second South.

A longtime sponsor of the arts, Mrs. Wallace died Dec. 30 at University Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She was 90.Burial will be private. The memorial service is open to the public. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent to Ballet West, the Utah Symphony, or the G.W. Wallace Memorial Cancer Research Fund, 50 N. Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84132.

Among her many achievements, Mrs. Wallace was president of the Utah Symphony from 1947 to 1952, president of Ballet West from its founding in 1963 to 1971, and was Salt Lake City's Outstanding Woman of the Year in 1968.
