An Evening of Music and Memories lies in store for those who attend the Utah Opera's Tenth Anniversary Celebration, at the Capitol Theater on Friday.

The agenda for the evening will include champagne and a buffet dinner in the lobby at 6 p.m., along with a silent/live auction. At auction will be many valuable gifts donated by supporters of the opera, such as original paintings, furniture, furs, travel tickets, condominium weekends, restaurant certificates, and a scarf autographed by Luciano Pavarotti.Moving into the theater at 7:30 p.m., celebrants will hear a musical retrospective of the past 10 years, sung by Utah Opera Company members, and dessert will be served on stage.

The anniversary party is underwritten by John and Katie Papanikolas and the Utah Opera, and the buffet will be catered by Max Mercier's Le Parisien.
