An off-duty policeman's truck with his identification card and three weapons inside was stolen while he visited friends in North Hollywood, the second time in as many days that officers lost guns to car thieves, authorities said Saturday.

The most recent incident occurred sometime Friday night when thieves made off with a North Hollywood Division officer's Toyota truck containing a .38-caliber weapon, a 9mm Baretta - both department-approved service revolvers - and another a 2-inch revolver, police spokesman Tom Bromley said.A day earlier, a narcotics officer left his undercover Toyota parked for about two hours on a Chinatown street while he ate dinner and worked on a case. He returned to find the car gone, along with his 9mm weapon, a 2-inch revolver, his badge and two sets of handcuffs.
