Sergei Shuliatiev, right, of the Soviet Red Cross gives New Year's teddy bears to Gohar Movsissyan from Leninakan, Armenia. Volunteers toured the quake-stricken country on Saturday to make sure that all 4,500 hospitalized victims got traditional New Year's Eve gifts. Dolls and teddy bears were among the gifts distributed to the children at the trauma hospital in Yerevan, Armenia's capital. Adult patients got fancy butter, Ceylon tea, biscuits and bottled peaches from Christmas hampers shipped in by the British Red Cross.
