A Salt Lake County man has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and 10 counts of aggravated assault in connection with a domestic dispute in which his wife was held captive with a weapon for more than two days.

The 3rd Circuit Court complaint filed Friday alleges Christopher E. Gray, 42, held his wife for 40 hours, beating, slapping and sexually assaulting the woman."While stating that he `had to teach her who was boss,' he held a gun to her head and threatened to blow her brains out," the probable cause statement says.

The woman, who married Gray in July, was treated in a hospital following the ordeal, which occurred Dec. 7-8, a sheriff's report says.

Gray was in Salt Lake County Jail on $50,000 bail.
