The Children's Museum of Utah has been selected as a teacher workshop site for National Science and Technology Week, April 24-30, one of 12 national sites designated by the National Science Foundation.
The museum will celebrate the week with activities and workshops. Rebecca Reheis, meteorologist for KTVX-TV, will present a hands-on weather workshop for children, age 5 and up, at 3:30 p.m. April 26. The workshop is free with museum admission.
And two science workshops, based on the National Science and Technology Week activity packet, are scheduled for 1 and 2:30 p.m. April 30. These workshops are for children 6 and older, and there is a $2 fee in addition to the admission charge.
The Children's Museum is at 840 N. Third West. Hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is $2 for children and adults, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 2 are admitted free.
