The Children's Museum of Utah will be celebrating its fifth birthday with a monthlong celebration and cookies for the entire family.
The museum, located at 840 N. Third West, will offer visitors the chance to leave their handprints and names on a "Hands On Birthday Mural." Other exhibits include the secret of 3-D vision, unearth a saber-toothed tiger skeleton, pilot a 727 jet, experiment with frozen bubbles, maneuver in a wheelchair and float in mid-air with an anti-gravity mirror.A new addition to "Kids' Town" will be the "Kids' Gas Station," to open on Jan. 13. The exhibit, sponsored by Chevron USA, will come complete with cars, a pump island, pay booth and other features for creative play.
Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call 322-KCMU.
