With all the snow that's hit the Wasatch Front in the last week, some people just couldn't wait for the snowplows to cruise down their street.

So, somebody stole the snow blade from a Salt Lake County truck, police say.A Salt Lake County employee parked the vehicle Dec. 23 at the county shop, 143 E. Eighth South, according to a Salt Lake police report released Wednesday. The truck was still there on Saturday.

But when the employee returned to the shop on Monday, the 8-inch snowplow blade was gone. The truck was still there and in good shape, the report said. The blade is worth $1,500.
