Retired Chief Justice Warren Burger was released from the hospital Wednesday after being treated for dehydration, exhaustion and a touch of pneumonia, a spokeswoman for Burger said.
Burger, 81, was hospitalized at Sibley Memorial Hospital on Christmas morning."He has been released from the hospital. He has responded well to treatment and is resting at home," said Tish Avery, a spokeswoman for the Commission on the Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution. Burger became chairman of the commission when he left the bench in 1986.
