A Utah woman was killed Monday in a one-car accident on slippery I-80, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Bonnie Jean Dobbins, 46, Layton, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by James Dobbins, 46, also of Layton. He was driving west on I-80 about 20 miles east of Rawlins at 11:44 a.m. when the vehicle hit a patch of ice and Dobbins lost control. The four-wheel-drive vehicle rolled several times and both occupants were ejected.Mrs. Dobbins was the 153rd person to die on Wyoming roads this year, compared with 138 at the same time last year. She was the first person to die in a Wyoming traffic accident over the holiday weekend.

The driver was taken to Carbon County Memorial Hospital in Rawlins with head and chest injuries, the patrol said.
