More than 70 performers from the Soviet Union spent Monday at the Kennedy compound, a repeat performance of a similar event 25 years ago when members of the Bolshoi Ballet were entertained at the beachfront home.

Members of the Bolshoi and the Pokrovsky Folk Ensemble, part of the cultural exhange "Making Music Together," were invited to the Hyannisport, Mass., compound by Ted Kennedy Jr. and Kara Kennedy. The Soviets spent the day tossing footballs and Frisbees, and coaxing all revelers including the Kennedys into doing folk dances on the lawn.

In 1963, Robert Kennedy invited members of the Soviet Union's national ballet company to the Hyannis residence, Ted Jr. said.
