Police have concluded a four-month sting operation with 13 arrests and seizure of $70,000 in property and drugs, officers said.
Mike King, Weber County attorney's office investigator, said a merchants' group called Business Leaders Against Crime provided money and merchandise for the operation.
A college student posed as a buyer of stolen property and drugs, Police Capt. Marlin Balls said.
Recovered goods came from many East Bench Ogden homes and businesses in Weber and Davis counties. Some $60,000 of the property came in the form of stereos, guns and televisions, and $10,000 involved drugs, he said.
The 13 arrested were 11 adults and two juveniles.
