Utah Crime Solvers is asking the public's help in locating the person who broke into an eastside apartment and stole cash and charge receipts.

A Salt Lake couple helped organize an Aug. 12 lecture held at the Salt Palace and then returned home with part of the proceeds, according to Mark Lowentrout with Utah Crime Solvers.The couple left the screen door open to the balcony and went to bed. Someone entered the third-floor apartment during the evening and stole the receipts, including checks and charge card slips.

A reward of up to $1,000 is is being offered for information leading up to an arrest and indictment of those responsible.
