Two Magna men were killed in separate automobile accidents Thursday morning on U-201, said the Utah Highway Patrol.
KILLED:Robert A. Linke, 41, 3850 S. 72nd West.
Kenneth R. Davis, 59, 8190 W. 35th South.
Linke was killed when his automobile crashed into the rear of a semitrailer truck driven by Richard Wayne Myers, 46, of Hamilton, Mont. Myers had just pulled out onto U-201 from a truck stop at 64th South and began heading west.
Linke lost control of his vehicle, crossed over to the eastbound lanes and collided with another car driven by Arthur D. Stowell, 29, of Magna, a dispatcher said. Linke's car eventually landed in a canal.
Davis was killed when his vehicle rolled Thursday at about 9:30 a.m. Dispatchers said his car slid off of a westbound lane of U-201 after crossing the overpass at 32nd West. The car rolled down the north side of the bridge embankment. Trooper Ben Lang said Davis was not wearing a seat belt.
