A convenience store on Ninth East has been having bad luck lately - for the second time in less than 24 hours, an armed bandit held up a clerk.

A clerk at Starz Stop Shop, 504 S. Ninth East, was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday by a white male, according to police.The suspect, about 25 years old and wearing a khaki jacket and gray pants, fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash from the 2:25 p.m. robbery. But police withheld a detailed description of the man.

A second robbery occurred about 7:40 p.m. at the Stop Shop convenience store, 504 S. Ninth East.

The robber was described as a white male in his early 20s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall. About $125 was taken.
