When heavy metal screamers Guns N' Roses and lead singer Axl Rose appear in Atlanta on April 15, Rose will not get the warmest of welcomes.

Most VIP visitors get a key to the city as a matter of protocol, but not Rose, because last time he was there in 1987 he brawled with security guards, punched an Atlanta cop and got arrested.Rose's promoters wanted to highlight their star attraction's appearance with a key to the city, but Atlanta's public relations chief, Joel Babbit, put his foot down.

"I don't think it's appropriate that you give a key to the city to a guy who hits a policeman on his last visit here," said Babbit. "I think he ought to be the one giving something to us - maybe 1,000 bulletproof vests for police. Plus, I don't like his music."
