Hector Camacho, fighting for the first time since May 2, 1987, got up from the first knock down of his career to win a 10-round decision Saturday night over Reyes Cruz then talked about dedication.

"Everybody knows I wasn't sharp," Camacho said after hearing boos when the decision was announced at the Tropicana."I showed the heart of a guy who really wanted to come back" said the former double champion who was knocked down for a 5-count with a punch between the eyes in the first round.

The 26-year-old Camacho's 32nd victory is his first step toward becoming a triple champion by winning the junior welterweight title.
