A Spanish Fork family is searching for clues in the whereabouts of their 28-year-old daughter who disappeared July 9 in what police feel are suspicious circumstances.

"We've exhausted all our leads," said Spanish Fork Police Chief Dee Rosenbaum.Peggy Ellsworth Case was last seen leaving a party in Spanish Fork with Mike G. Kufrin, the man with whom she was living.

On the following Monday, Kufrin called Trojan Powder where Case was employed and said she would not be in for work. On Tuesday he called again with the same message. Her fellow employees contacted Case's parents, Richard and JoAnn Ellsworth, Payson, and they contacted the police.

When contacted by Spanish Fork police, Kufrin said Case left the area with a girlfriend. The girlfriend told police she had not seen Case that weekend.

In late September, Kufrin sold the apartment furnishings and left town.

Rosenbaum said a warrant of arrest has been issued for Kufrin in connection with a stolen vehicle and stolen firearms.

Case is described as 5 feet 4 inches, 100 pounds with light blond hair. Kufrin, 32, is 5 feet 8 inches, 185 pounds with light brown hair. He has a tattoo of a heart with a dagger through it on his right forearm.

Anyone having information about either person is asked to contact Spanish Fork Police Department, 798-3584.
