Southern Utah State College has been re-accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges.

The association's interim evaluation report said that SUSC has progressed in the five years since its last evaluation despite a troubled state economy that included periodic budget cuts to all of higher education. But tight finances, including low salaries, were noted as an area of concern in the report. "Salary advancement remains a serious concern, despite the college's efforts to move ahead in this area - in three of the last six years, there have been no general salary increase dollars."
