Information Society, the new wave dance band responsible for the #3 Billboard pop chart hit "What's on Your Mind" (Pure Energy) is on its first ever live concert tour. Their first album, which bears the same name as the group, has sold almost a million copies since its release in June. Originally from Minneapolis, the group relocated to New York and met unexpected success. Writer and programmer Paul Robb, left, describes their sound as "postmodern dance music." Joining him for this show are vocalist Kurt Valaquen, drummer Sally Venue Berg and bassist James Cassidy. Information Society performs at the Salt Palace on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at $10 in advance and $12 day of show.
