A body found nearly three years ago in Sutter County has been linked to Dorothea Montalvo Puente, the landlady already a suspect in the deaths of seven people whose bodies were found around her rooming house, police said.
Police arrested Ismael Carrasco Florez on Saturday and said he built a wooden box and helped Puente put a body in it and deposit it in Sutter County nearly three years ago. Capt. Michael O'Kane said more information about Florez would be made available Sunday.A decomposed female body about 55 years old was found by a farm worker on New Year's Day 1986 along the Sacramento River near the town of Verona, about 15 miles northeast of Sacramento. The body was wrapped in plastic.
