Sen. Brock Adams, D-Wash., is matching threat for threat, saying he will sue Kari Tupper for defamation of character if Tupper follows through with her threat to sue him over alleged improper sexual advances.
Adams insisted during an interview with KOMO-TV Tuesday night that he has told the truth about his relationship with Tupper, a congressional aide, and said he would file a lawsuit against her if he has to."I've noticed that people are now doing that," Adams said. "I just saw on television last night that a number of people in Hollywood have said enough is enough of these things."
Adams said he thinks he's been treated unfairly, though his reputation may already be on the mend with his appointment last week to the Senate Appropriations Committee.
