Seven cars collided Sunday evening on I-15 while driving through heavy fog.
Only minor injuries were reported in the pile up which occurred about 11 p.m. in the southbound lanes near the American Fork 5th East exit, according to a Utah Highway Patrol dispatcher.UHP Sgt. Brent Munson said, "If you find that fog is localized or heavy, it is better to slow down if you can't see in front of you. If you don't, you may end up in someone's back end."
He said going 55 mph through heavy fog only leaves visibility at 80 feet per second.
