A minor earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale Friday vibrated the northern Utah mountains near Bear Lake, University of Utah Seismograph Stations officials said.

"The quake was an aftershock of a magnitude 4.8 quake that occurred Nov. 19 on the Utah-Idaho state line, beneath the Bear Lake Range," said spokeswoman Linda Hall.It was "one of 40 to 50 aftershocks" from the main temblor, 3 miles west of Bear Lake and 90 miles northeast of Salt Lake City, Hall said. There was no damage and no injuries from the 11:46 a.m. quake.

The strongest aftershocks were of magnitude 4.6 on the same day of the main quake and one of 3.4 on the Richter scale on Nov. 28.
