Three men were injured Friday night when the Jeep they were riding in rolled as they turned a corner. Police said the vehicle had just left the scene of an accident in which another car was hit.
Salt Lake Police Lt. Joel Campbell said the Jeep left an accident at 11th East and South Temple and moments afterward rolled near Second Avenue and P Street. "They overcorrected on trying to make the corner," he said. The Jeep's driver, Michael S. Major, 21, was in satisfactory condition Saturday evening in LDS Hospital, a nursing supervisor said. Passenger Brad Jensen, 17, was also in satisfactory condition. Mark H. Major, 17, another passenger, was treated and released from the hospital, the supervisor said. A fourth passenger in the Jeep apparently left the scene, said Campbell.
Passengers in the car in the first accident were not injured, police said.
