The state attorney general's office has filed a lawsuit to close down a casting agency that advertised for actors and models for a phony movie that promoters said was to be produced in Utah.

Rocky Mountain Central Casting Co. is believed to have run similar operations in eight other states, said Jan Margosian, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Justice. She said the company told prospective clients it was interviewing people for a role in a horror movie called "The Closet" to be produced by Osmond Studios in Orem, Utah.

However, no such movie was planned, according to Jimmie Osmond, a spokesman for the studios.

The agency had charged a $25 fee for the interviews, Margosian said.
