Steve H. Crane, principal of Steve Crane Associates, an architectural firm, has received an award of merit from the Products Council of Utah for accomplishments in architecture, community involvement and special projects.

In addition to his regular architectural duties, Crane was the principal architect on Salt Lake City's Ronald McDonald House, a place where out-of-town families stay while their children are hospitalized.He also helped raise money and materials that built the facility.

Other major projects in which Crane was involved are Canyon View Junior High School in Orem; the Davis Area Vocational Center in Ogden; Heritage Honda in St. George; the courthouse in Jackson, Wyo.; the Juab Middle and High Schools for the Juab School District; and renovations of Carleson and Converse halls at Westminster College.

In addition to being a licensed architect in several western states, Crane is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Architects in Education Committee, the Foundation Board of Westminster College and the Regional Urban Design Assistance Team of Salt Lake City.

The Products Council consists of suppliers of construction products and services and works closely with architects, designers and engineers specifying materials for the construction industry.
