Winding Technologies Corp., a Springville-based company, has been awarded a contract to build wind deflectors for the doors paratroopers jump from on the C-17, the Air Force's newest cargo plane, officials announced Tuesday.The contract is valued at more than $1 million and contains options that could increase it to more than $6 million. The company is expected to hire about 23 new employees to handle the work, said Raleigh Huntsman, company president.
