Four Central American presidents scheduled to attend the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Carlos Salinas de Gortari plan to meet and discuss a presidential summit date to revive the peace process in the war-torn region, a Salvadoran official said.

"The fact that these Central American leaders are here has a great political significance," Salvadoran Foreign Minister Sigfrido Munes said.Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, Salvadoran President Jose Napoleon Duarte, Honduran President Jose Azcona Hoya and Guatemalan President Vinicio Cerezo, are scheduled to attend the inauguration.
