Funeral for Dr. Dee Williams Call, a Salt Lake surgeon for 32 years, will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 30, 1988, in the Ensign 5th LDS Ward chapel, 589 18th Ave.
Dr. Call, who was on staff at LDS Hospital and Primary Children's Medical Center, died at home Nov. 25 of natural causes. He was 66.Dr. Call received his medical degree from Temple Medical School after graduating from Brigham Young University. He served 28 months in the Navy.
He was born Sept. 21, 1922, in Malad, Idaho, to Bertis and Maude Williams Call. He graduated from Malad High School, where he participated in athletics. He also played football at BYU. His involvement with athletics continued throughout his life as he acted as team physician for Westminster College and East High School, and was chairman of the Salt Lake School District Health and Athletics Committee.
Dr. Call was also a board member of the Utah State Medical Association, chairman of the Utah Medical Political Action Committee and a member of many medical associations.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Nov. 29 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, and at the ward one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Malad Cemetery.
