A Provo woman suffered back injuries in a seven-car pileup that closed an I-15 viaduct for two hours on Friday.

The incident began at 6:15 p.m. when a driver going west on the Center Street viaduct hit his brakes to slow down on the icy road, a Provo police officer said. The car slid across the center line and was hit by an eastbound car. Five other cars were added to the pileup when their drivers were unable to stop.Lee Jeffs, 33, was treated and released from Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for a cervical sprain, a nursing supervisor said Saturday.
