A 20 percent growth in the past five years has prompted Magic Chemical Co. Inc. to move from its 7,000 square-feet of space at 833 W. South Temple to 18,000 square-feet of space in the old Foley Electric Building at 500 W. Second North.

Clarence G. Walker, Magic president, said the move will allow the company to fulfill a growing demand. The company distributes janitorial equipment and supplies to school districts, industrial and commercial businesses and offices. The sales transaction was handled by Ken Lott for Foley and Tom Korn for Magic, both of Commerce Properties in Salt Lake City. The building has been vacant for five years since Foley's bankruptcy.
