Portland's Steve Johnson and Seattle's Xavier McDaniel and Michael Cage were fined a total of $7,000 for their actions during the Trail Blazers' 125-104 victory over the SuperSonics, the NBA announced Friday. The game, played Tuesday night at Seattle, was marred by eight technical fouls and two fights in the second quarter.

The first fight occurred between Johnson and Cage with five minutes remaining in the half. The second occurred three minutes later, between Portland's Jerome Kersey and McDaniel.For their actions, Johnson was fined $3,500 for fighting, Cage $1,000 for pushing and McDaniel $2,500 for failure to leave the court in a timely fashion after being ejected and for inflammatory actions, NBA vice president-operations Rod Thorn said.
