Gunmen apparently targeting a Sinn Fein councilman shot and killed his brother instead, police said.

Phelim McNally, 28, was slain Thursday night while he was playing an accordion in the kitchen of the home of his brother, local Sein Fein councilman Francis McNally, police said. Sinn Fein is the legal political wing of the outlawed Irish Republican Army.No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, which the British domestic news agency Press Association said occurred near Coagh, 30 miles west of Belfast.
