"Family Ties" actress Courteney Cox says she is tired of playing the prissy intellectual and is hoping to land a role as a wanton bombshell. When the NBC comedy "Family Ties" wraps up its final season, Cox, who plays Michael J. Fox's girlfriend, will hardly be misty-eyed. "Everyone's ready to move on," Cox told Self magazine. "They've written just about everything you can write about a family." Now, Cox wants to play a complex character. "I'm kind of itching to do a very real drama, something like " 'night, Mother," or a romantic lead. I always play the intellectual, never the sexy or the bad girl."
