I was intrigued by how often local and national Republican candidates referred to such Democratic Party presidents as Roosevelt, Truman, and Kennedy. As far as one could tell, Republican presidents since World War II were ignored. One understands why. These Republican presidents since World War II ranged from crooks at the worst to mediocre at the best. One wonders into which category Bush will fall.Clark S. Knowlton
