Scott Hendricks, 30, a Norco, Calif., balloonist injured in a Nov. 14 crash in a rugged area of Garfield County, was in satisfactory condition Wednesday in University Hospital.

Hendricks, who is being treated for a fractured back and left ankle, was first treated at Garfield Memorial Hospital, Panguitch, and later transferred to LDS Hospital and the U. hospital.His traveling companion, Ron Martin, 46, Long Beach, who suffered a compression fracture of the spine and a dislocated left shoulder, was released Nov. 19 from Garfield Memorial Hospital, Panguitch, to a California hospital.

The two men were injured when their long-range, hot-air balloon was blown from Southern California to Utah.
