Ten people were treated for smoke inhalation Wednesday after fire heavily damaged a home here, American Fork Fire Chief Paul Peters said.

Authorities could not immediately determine the cause of the fire and damage estimates were not available.However, Peters said it appears the blaze started in the front room or basement of the Westin Pratt home. Firefighters rushed to the scene at 8:20 a.m. and had the flames under control shortly before 9 a.m.

No serious injuries were reported.
