Cybill Shepherd is upset about being rejected by a co-op board in her hometown of Memphis, Tenn. The "Moonlighting" star had hoped to buy a home in the Riverbluff, a development overlooking the Mississippi, but the co-op board voted against her. "I tell you, I was so hurt. I couldn't believe this could happen, particularly in my hometown," Shepherd said. Board members won't comment but the actress said they apparently were concerned she would not spend much time in Memphis and about who she might allow to use the house. "I think anywhere else in the world I could understand someone not knowing me or knowing the kind of person I am," Shepherd said. "I'm a very upstanding person." She's not sure if she will look for another home in Memphis because "who wants to live in a place where people feel like that about you?"
