Police are on the lookout for a dinosaur-napper.
A 6-foot-long Brontosaurus sculpture featured in the Deseret News on Monday has been stolen, said Jaret Gustafson, a Sinclair Oil worker. He installed the mascot at a convenience store at 5380 S. Ninth East. The dinosaur was at the store only three days attracting interest from passers-by and from a Deseret News photographer.
Gustafson said the statue was stolen sometime over the weekend, before the photo appeared in Monday's newspaper. "It will be awfully hard to hide. We think it was just a prank by kids and we hope they will bring it back."
