Funeral will Tuesday noon for Ray James Hutchinson, 82, former Salt Lake banker and church worker, who died Nov. 19, 1988, of natural causes in a Salt Lake hospital.
The service will be in the Monument Park LDS 3rd Ward chapel, 2219 Roosevelt Ave. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 S. Second East, and from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Tuesday at the ward. Burial will be in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.Mr. Hutchinson was born Oct. 7, 1906, in Evanston, Wyo., to Sidney James and Emma Irene Tidwell Hutchinson.
He was employed for 43 years by Zions First National Bank. In addition to his banking career, he owned and operated a fruit farm in Lindon, Utah County, and a dairy farm in Heber City. For many years he was a popular baritone soloist throughout the Salt Lake Valley.
He served a mission to Holland, was a stake missionary and stake mission president in the Holladay area. During 1979-80, he and his wife, the former Vera Stewart, were missionaries in Hawaii. (See obituary on Page B4.)
